King Law is seeking an accounting clerk to join our team.  As a member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for assigned tasks related to the overall operations of the firm, including but not limited to the following:

  • Process payments and record transactions
  • Process accounts payable
  • Research client billing questions and concerns
  • Respond to billing disputes
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, process refunds, and apply credits
  • Negotiate payment arrangements
  • Identify and resolve problem accounts, write-offs, and related adjustment
  • Collections and pursuing all legal remedies to collect money owed
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks including bank and credit card account transactions
  • Monitor credit card charges
  • Generate monthly budget reports and statements
  • Aid in annual budget planning
  • Track client payments, deposits, and link to client accounts
  • Ensure bank deposits match Quickbooks Deposit Transactions
  • Reconcile client accounts and close files
  • Understand the client billing process, bi-weekly statements and assist as needed
  • Manage Client Trust Accounting, Disbursements and Final Accounting Trust Account Statements
  • Interact with attorneys and other staff
  • Understand and assist with the process of monthly supply orders for each of the firm’s locations
  • Assist with accounting projects

The selected candidate should possess strong skills in office procedures, bookkeeping and have a working knowledge of Quickbooks.  No legal experience is required. Must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, in the office.  This is a full-time position with benefits including PTO, holiday pay (12 days per year), insurance offerings (medical, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, and life), 401(k) matching, company issued computer, and quarterly bonus potential.

King Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team of legal professionals; the position is based out of the firm’s Spartanburg, South Carolina office.

King Law is a general practice firm, with 15 locations serving the Carolinas, and focusing on the areas of family law, civil litigation, criminal law, and estates and elder law.

The selected candidate will be responsible for new client consults, managing a caseload, research, writing, drafting legal documents, attending court, mediations, depositions, and all other requirements to navigate cases from start to finish.

Our team will support the selected candidate by providing a mentor, an assigned case manager and weekly training sessions.

While previous law firm and litigation experience is preferred, all levels will be considered.  Selected candidate must be a licensed member of the South Carolina Bar, in good standing.
