Emily Almanza is an Associate Attorney with King Law Offices. Emily works in the firm’s Polk County office in Columbus, North Carolina. Emily focuses her practice Civil Litigation.
Emily received her B.A. in history and political science at Campbell University before continuing to receive her J.D. from Campbell University Norman Adrian School of Law. In undergrad, she was an academic symposium presenter on the constitutionality and policy considerations of blue laws. In law school, Emily served as the project manager for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance pro bono program, founded and served as the first president of Campbell’s American Constitution Society chapter, and interned for Chief Judge Donna Stroud at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Originally from the eastern part of North Carolina, Emily now lives in Hendersonville. When not practicing law, Emily likes to spend time with her husband, son, and two orange cats. She also enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, and writing fantasy novels—she’s a published author!
