King Law announces new partners Ian Maddox and Claudette Ericson

July 6, 2026 — King Law is proud to announce that attorneys Ian Maddox and Claudette Ericson have joined the firm’s partnership.

This milestone reflects not only their exceptional legal ability, but also their commitment to serving clients, mentoring colleagues, and advancing King Law’s mission of providing trusted legal counsel throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Ian Maddox

Ian Maddox has become a trusted member of King Law’s Family Law Group, where he represents clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, adoption, and other complex domestic matters. Based in the firm’s Hendersonville office, Ian is known for his thoughtful, compassionate approach and his ability to guide families through difficult transitions with confidence and care.

Before focusing his practice on family law in Western North Carolina, Ian gained valuable litigation experience in criminal defense and civil litigation, bringing a well-rounded perspective to every client he represents. His dedication to service began long before his legal career, including two years as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Togo, West Africa.

Claudette Ericson

Claudette Ericson has been an integral part of King Law’s Family Law Group, serving clients from the firm’s Cornelius office. Licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York, Claudette brings decades of litigation experience to her practice. Her background in civil litigation and appellate work, combined with her passion for family law, has made her a respected advocate for clients facing some of life’s most challenging legal matters.

Known for her thorough preparation, strategic advocacy, and genuine compassion, Claudette has earned the trust of both clients and colleagues throughout her career.

Looking Ahead

At King Law, partnership is more than a title, it’s a reflection of leadership, dedication, and a shared commitment to the firm’s future. Ian and Claudette exemplify the values that define King Law, and we are excited to welcome them into this new leadership role.

Please join us in congratulating Ian Maddox and Claudette Ericson as they begin this next chapter with King Law.
