Michael “Ian” Maddox is Senior Associate attorney at King Law’s Hendersonville, North Carolina Location. He has practiced law in Western North Carolina since 2021. His primary focus is in the area of Family Law.
Ian graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2005 with Bachelors degree in History, Political Science, and Philosophy. Upon graduation Ian spent two years in Togo, West Africa as a member of the United States Peace Corps. In Togo, Ian worked as a Natural Resources Management Volunteer and focused primarily on environmentally sustainable and economically resourceful methods of agriculture.
Ian attended law school in Grundy, Virginia at Appalachian School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2014. Ian spent the following five years practicing law in the greater New Orleans area, primarily focused on criminal defense and civil litigation.
Since 2019, Ian has lived in Hendersonville, NC with his wife Laura, and their three amazing and beautiful children, Eli, Cecilia, and Lily. In his spare time Ian enjoys the outdoors, traveling, reading, and sports.
