Anna Kegley-Shelton is a Shareholder and attorney with King Law. Anna works primarily from the firm’s Rutherford County office in Forest City, North Carolina. Anna serves as the Chair of our firm’s Transactional Law Practice Area Group, where she focuses in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Medicaid Asset Protection, Guardianship, Adult Adoption, and Business Formation and contracts. Anna is also a Certified Family Financial Mediator by the NCDRC.

Anna attended New York University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergrad and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. She graduated Charlotte School of Law, cum laude, in 2013, receiving her Juris Doctor. While attending law school, Anna was a senior editor of the Property Law Review Journal and student leader and contact for Mecklenburg County Teen Court. While practicing law, Anna has served for many years on Rutherford County’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and has served as a contract attorney with the Department of Social Services.

Anna resides in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, along with her husband and three children. Anna grew up in Rutherford County and enjoys raising her children in the same small town, where she helps others establish and leave their own legacies. Outside of work, Anna enjoys being outside, gardening and painting.
