While in law school, he clerked at the Orleans Public Defenders office and served as a student attorney in the Tulane Juvenile Rights Clinic. After graduating, he worked as a Legal Fellow at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Fourth Amendment Center in Washington, DC, where he supported defense attorneys litigating cutting-edge digital privacy issues in state and federal courts.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University, majoring in Political Science. At Furman, he served as president of the Furman University Debate Society and participated in the Trial Advocacy Program — early signs of the advocate he would become.
