

Kaitlin Briggs is an Associate Attorney with King Law. Kaitlin works from the firm’s offices in Asheville and Waynesville, North Carolina, focusing primarily on family law.
Kaitlin earned their J.D. from Penn State Law in 2022. While in law school, Kaitlin worked with the Community Revitalization Project at Legal Aid NorthWest Texas and the LGBTQ, Gender, and Reproductive Justice Project at ACLU of Southern California. They also studied as a clinical student in Penn State Law’s Civil Rights Appellate Clinic, where they worked on cases before the United States Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeals. During their three years in Happy Valley, Kaitlin served on the executive boards of OutLaw, the Women’s Law Caucus, and the Public Interest Law Fund, and attended as many Nittany Lion Football games as possible.
Before law school, they graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2018 with a B.S. in Government and spent a year teaching 1st and 2nd grade.
A Texas native, Kaitlin now lives in Asheville with their fiancé, child, two dogs, and turtle. They spend their time running trails, chasing sunsets, and checking out too many library books.
