Justin Ray is a Junior Partner at the King Law office in Newland, North Carolina. Justin practices in the area of civil litigation.

Justin is a native of Avery County, North Carolina.
Justin received his J.D. from The Appalachian School of Law (Cum Laude) and his B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University. During law school Justin spent two years on the Mock Trial team and was an intra-school finalist in the Moot Court competition.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Justin worked in the financial services industry until the collapse in 2008. At that time, he started a small business in Western North Carolina and the company is still thriving today.
Justin is currently the Vice-President of the Avery County Community Foundation, a part of the North Carolina Community Foundation. He previously served on the Avery County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a former Vice-President of the High Country Workforce Development Board.
Justin and his wife Britney have been married for over 15 years. They have two children, Ayden and Caleigh who keep them very busy between all the activities and sports. The family enjoys most all outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing and rafting all while trying to keep up with the kid’s sports schedules. They are members of the Open Door Baptist Church and enjoy being involved in community activities.
