Garrett Simpson is an associate attorney at King Law Offices located in Gastonia, North Carolina. He is a member of the firm’s Civil Litigation Practice Group. Garrett is licensed to practice in South Carolina.
Garrett was a student-athlete at Gardner-Webb University where he competed for the men’s swimming and golf teams. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a minor in Business Administration from the Godbold School of Business. After graduation, Garrett spent a year working for King Law as a client consultation specialist before enrolling at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
While in law school, Garrett received the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, served as the Executive Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and was the Managing Editor of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. Much of Garrett’s professional experience in law school came while working at an insurance defense firm where he learned how to handle civil litigation matters from a defense perspective, which he now uses to benefit his King Law clients.
Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Garrett now calls Charlotte, North Carolina home. In his free time, Garrett enjoys playing golf, skiing, and competing in triathlons. He also finds time to support his favorite sports teams, notably the South Carolina Gamecocks, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves, and Manchester City Football Club.
