Frank McFarland is an experienced Family Law attorney, serving individuals and families throughout Western North Carolina. He handles a wide range of domestic matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and other family law issues. Frank is known for providing practical legal guidance and compassionate advocacy, helping clients navigate complex and emotionally challenging situations while working toward solutions that protect their interests and their families.
Professional Background
As a Shareholder with King Law, Frank serves clients across Western North Carolina, from the Tennessee border eastward. A native of Cleveland County, he has built strong professional relationships throughout the legal communities of Cleveland, Rutherford, McDowell, Burke, Catawba, Buncombe, Henderson, Polk, and many surrounding counties. He has extensive courtroom experience, having tried cases in courts across the region, giving him valuable insight into local judges, court procedures, and legal practices.
In addition to his Family Law practice, Frank has experience handling criminal law and other civil litigation matters. This broad litigation background has strengthened his courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills, allowing him to effectively represent clients both in and out of court.
Frank earned his bachelor’s degree from Gardner-Webb University in 2008, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University in 2010. He received his Juris Doctor from Campbell University and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
Community and Personal Life
Frank is a lifelong resident of Western North Carolina and is proud to serve the communities where he has built both his career and his reputation. He lives in Shelby, North Carolina, with his wife and two daughters. Outside of practicing law, Frank enjoys spending time with his family, following sports, and playing softball.
