Area of Focus
Eric is a Shareholder with King Law who has practiced in the Triangle area throughout his entire legal career, representing clients across a broad range of complex civil, criminal, and family law matters in both state and federal courts. His practice includes serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, high-stakes civil litigation involving negligence, breach of contract, fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices, as well as appellate matters before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and North Carolina Supreme Court.
He also has extensive experience in family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence matters, and premarital and postnuptial agreements. In addition, Eric regularly defends clients in serious felony and high-level misdemeanor criminal cases.
His practice further extends into investor and securities disputes, including FINRA arbitration and claims involving investment and stockbroker fraud, as well as landlord-tenant disputes in both residential and commercial settings. He also handles construction litigation, real and personal property disputes, and licensing and administrative law matters.
Professional Background
Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Guilford College, where he double majored in History and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Political Science. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While in law school, Eric served as a Comments Editor for the Campbell Law Review and was selected to serve as a Justice on Campbell’s Honor Court, reflecting both his academic achievement and commitment to professional responsibility.
He is admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. Eric is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Wake County Bar Association. He is a frequent presence in court, regularly handling cases at both the trial and appellate levels.
Community and Personal Life
Eric lives in Wake County with his wife and two children. He has built both his personal and professional life in the Triangle region and remains deeply connected to the community he serves.
