John “Johnny” Hutchens was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Charlotte Latin High School where he played football as well as excelled in History and Language Arts Courses. Upon graduation, Johnny attended the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science. After College, he was accepted to Campbell University School of Law and graduated in 2017. At Campbell Law, he participated in moot court competitions, was a senior staff writer for the law periodical, the Campbell Law Observer (22 articles published), helped indigent clients through the Stubbs Bankruptcy clinic, volunteered at the SPCA of Wake County, interned as a legal research and writing assistant for Appellate Judicial Candidate, Allegra Collins, and was a King Law intern in the summer of 2016. After graduating from Campbell, Johnny moved from Raleigh to Hendersonville and works in the Rutherfordton office.
When he is not working, Johnny enjoys playing basketball, golf, and the guitar. He is a die-hard Gamecocks, Hornets, and Panthers fan.
