Jacob Harwood is currently an associate attorney at King Law’s Rutherfordton location.
Mr. Harwood is a native of Western North Carolina, growing up in Madison County. After graduating from Madison High, he attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UNC, he found a passion for government and politics which led him to major in Peace, War, and Defense. Upon graduating from UNC, he went on to the University of South Carolina School of Law. There he served as an Articles Editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business, participated in the School’s Criminal Clinic, as well as many other extracurricular organizations. He has interned at both the Buncombe County, North Carolina, Public Defender’s Office and the Lexington County, South Carolina, Public Defender’s Office. He served as a research assistant to Professor Ned Snow for various intellectual property issues. Attorney Harwood received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, playing piano, and watching various college athletic events, but particularly college basketball. He also enjoys participating as a judge at different mock trial competitions.
